The pharma website pre-launch checklist

→ the non-negotiables

• Job code present on the page → every promotional page needs a traceable code
• Job code in the right format → the code follows your house pattern, not a typo
• One job code, not several fighting → a leftover code from another asset is a red flag
• Date of preparation present → and recent, because it ages while the page sits live
• PI or SmPC link present and resolving → the prescribing information is one click away and loads
• ISI section present → the important safety information is actually on the page
• ISI complete, not cut off → a truncated ISI reads as missing safety copy
• Adverse-event reporting statement present → the reporting route is written out, not assumed
• Yellow Card link for monitored products → required once a product carries additional monitoring
• Black triangle shown where it should be → present for monitored products, absent for the rest

→ who gets in, and how

• HCP gate holds where the content is prescriber-only → the gate has to actually stop a visitor, not just exist
• Monitored product sits behind the gate → additional-monitoring content should not be open to the public
• Cookie and consent banner works → it appears, and a reject is honoured

→ what the page says and cites

• Trademark and registered marks superscripted → right mark, right place, on first use
• Every reference marker resolves → no orphaned superscript pointing at nothing
• Last-updated or legal date present → the page states when it was last touched

→ the parts nobody sees until they break

• Every page reachable → nothing returning a 404 or a redirect loop
• No broken external links → internal and outbound, every one followed
• robots.txt in order → not blocking the pages you want indexed
• SSL certificate valid → current, and not expiring the week after launch

→ found by the right people, counted properly

• noindex removed for the live site → a page left noindexed is invisible to search
• Canonical and hreflang correct → the right market points at the right page
• Analytics tag present → the page is being measured from day one
• Search Console verification tag present → you can see how the page performs in search
